RCMP report missing Alberta man found safe
BC RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing Alberta man believed to be in B.C.’s Elk Valley.
Garrett Algar was last seen on July 12, 2020. Elk Valley RCMP has reason to believe that Garrett may be in the Elk Valley or the Lake Koocanusa area.
Investigators believe that Algar may be travelling in a bright orange/red 2018 Ford Focus, bearing Alberta licence plate BNK 0902.

Description of Garrett Algar:
- Caucasian male;
- 34 years;
- 5 ft 9 in (175 cm);
- 140 lbs (63 kg);
- brown hair;
- brown eyes;
Police are very concerned for Garrett’s health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for him to be out of contact for this long.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Garrett Algar, or the newer Ford Focus he is believed to be travelling in, is urged to contact their local police, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
