Kootenay-Columbia MP David Wilks’ vacated mayor’s seat is being sought by three District of Sparwood residents in the Nov. 19 municipal election.

Two current council members, Lois Halko and Peter Templin are taking a shot at the top chair, along with Bev Bellina.

Meanwhile, two council incumbents, Sharon Fraser and Margaret McKie, are seeking to return, while eight other Sparwood residents are also taking aim at the six available council seats.

Also running for council are: Hungry Baytaluke, Paul Hebert, Andy McIntyre, Norma McDougall, Ron (Sonny) Saad, Rose Sharma, Joanne Wilton and former district councillor Muriel Stickney.
