The Remembrance Day poppy campaign has officially started in the District of Sparwood with Royal Canadian Legion President Wray Mills pinning a poppy on Mayor David Wilks.

Poppy trays can now be found within the community, and wreaths are available to purchase through the Legion between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m.

The Remembrance Day ceremony will take place at the Cenotaph at 11 a.m. on November 11.
