UPDATE

The Sparwood Transfer Station will re-open at 12:30 p.m. as the fire has been fully extinguished.

The fire was in the construction/demolition area and a big thank you goes out to the Sparwood Fire Department, on site personnel and staff for their quick response.

Due to a fire, the Sparwood Transfer Station is currently closed (June 8).

For the time being, we are asking residents to utilize the Elkford or Fernie transfer stations until the Sparwood site can be reopened.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We will provide notification once the site has reopened.
