The District of Sparwood is pleased to announce the newest member of the team, Schaun Goodeve – who will be filling the role of Director of Planning and Development.

Schaun, formerly the Manager of Economic Development for the City of Kimberley, brings with him a significant amount of talent and experience. He is an award-winning economic developer and registered professional planner as well as the current Director on the Board of Economic Developers Canada. He has worked within Canada and internationally and brings to Sparwood an in-depth knowledge of B.C.’s planning and economic development landscape, honed by his work on dozens of high-profile investment projects.

Schaun is looking forward to working across departments at the District of Sparwood and with community stakeholders to continue the efforts that have been made in planning and economic development.

“There are numerous exciting projects currently underway in Sparwood that I am looking forward to working on. I am eager to begin reviewing planning functions at the district to ensure efficiency and clarity, as well as make certain that customer service is a top priority,” he said.
