Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was called out for two rescues yesterday afternoon (June 8).

The first rescue involved some stranded motorists up Hartley Lake Road, northeast of Fernie.

And the second was providing support to Sparwood and Elkford Search and Rescue teams to longline some stranded hikers who had become ‘cliffed out’ high above Elkford (pictured above).
