First Saturdays returns with fun-filled July 7

The First Saturday of the month from July to October has become a special day in Kimberley the last few years.

And the tradition continues this year with the return of Kimberley Arts’ First Saturdays, celebrating arts, culture and heritage.

The July 7 Kick-off features: the Rotary Pancake Breakfast; Kimberley Bed Race; Silent Auction; Live entertainment, Kids Activities, Art Demonstrations, Circus Arts and GoGo Desserts at Chateau Kimberley (replacing the High Tea).

From 5:30 to 10 p.m. is the One Light Town Concert outside Centre 64, with a barbecue by the Elks (ONLY $5 for a full dinner). The Tuck Troubadours hit the stage at 5:45 p.m. and popular local band Mile High Club performs at 7 p.m., with local ‘deacon of the bass’ Ferdy Belland (pictured right/Tammy Oates photo) making his swan song performance with the highly entertaining party band.

This is a family friendly, free concert event.

Volunteers are also required; read more below if you are interested in helping out…
