The Happy Hans Award recognizes an individual, business, or organization that carries forward the legacy of Chester “Happy Hans” Righton, Kimberley’s Bavarian dressed greeter known for his ever-present smile and dedication to making everyone feel welcome.

Nominees should:

• Actively promote Kimberley in a positive and welcoming way.
• Embody friendliness, hospitality, and community pride.
• Enhance Kimberley’s reputation through arts, culture, entertainment, or tourism.

The recipient will also receive a $500 grant to support their ongoing efforts.

Deadline for nominations is September 29, at 11:59 p.m.
