Yesterday evening (August 25) Kimberley Search and Rescue (SAR) and Bighorn Helicopters successfully located and extracted an injured hiker in the St. Mary’s Alpine Provincial Park.

“The hikers activated a personal locator device and were able to communicate with the rescue team. The mission was efficient due to the use of the satellite locator device,” SAR noted.

“Thank you to all those who assisted with the mission.”
