Next phase of Fourth Avenue Rehabilitation underway

The City of Kimberley’s contractor has begun work on the Fourth Avenue Rehabilitation – Phase II Project, from Trail Street to Cranbrook Street.

Construction will continue into the early fall months. This phase of the project will consist of replacing the water, sewer and storm utilities, pathway upgrades, as well as complete reconstruction of this integral piece of roadway.

Traffic delays or detours along Fourth Avenue are expected for the duration of the project.

This will affect all residents that require access to Townsite, including the following amenities:

  • Garden View Village;
  • Kimberley Health Centre and Clinic (pictured above);
  • Kimberley Special Care Home;
  • Lindsay Park Elementary School.

The City of Kimberley apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation in following the traffic changes throughout construction and ensuring a safe working environment for crews.

Further updates with respect to construction will be released during the project, please visit www.kimberley.ca to watch for these updates.
