No injuries in Warren Avenue fire
A fire in a former motel turned apartment building on Warren Avenue in Kimberley Dec. 2 kept Highway 95A closed for several hours.
City of Kimberley Fire Department crews were called to the apartment fire on Warren Ave. (Highway 95A) at 2:30 p.m.
The fire was quickly extinguished and was contained to the originating apartment unit.
Thirteen firefighters, BC Ambulance Service, RCMP, BC Hydro, and City Operations were on scene.
There were no injuries and all occupants have been displaced until an assessment of the structure can be completed.
Warren Avenue (HWY 95A) was closed to traffic for two hours while fire crews were on scene. The Red Cross is providing support for many of the residents.
