Some of the fittest and most fun athletes around were busy going around the mountain in Kimberley last Sunday.

Hosted by the Kimberley Trails Society, the Kootenay Orienteering Club and the Kootenay Freewheelers’ Cycling Club, the spectacular and popular annual Round The Mountain Festival was held June 24 in Kimberley.

Participants take part in four hiking, running, and mountain biking challenges around North Star Mountain. Additionally, there were kids races, live music, food and drinks.

All events started and finished at the Kimberley Nordic Centre.
