Skating Club caps great year with Ice Show

The Kimberley Skating Club held its 2018 Ice Show on March 10 at the Kimberley Civic Centre. The show featured all the skaters in various group numbers or solo events.

Special recognition was made to Zoe Marina and Emily Newel as this was their last year of skating with club.  They are graduating from high school and will be moving on. The two have been involved in skating since a very young age. Both have achieved gold skating level and completed in various competitions around the area and province.  For several years they were teaching assistances and the last two years skating coaches.

Geneve Miller from Cranbrook has been skating with the club and is also graduating but will be continuing on in the skating world.

The coaches Clarie Shaw, Lorinda Nelson and Tamara Bannatyne would like to thank all the skaters for their dedication over the years.  Claire is moving on to continue her teaching degree and Tamara is also stepping back from skating.

We wish them both the best in their future endeavours.
