ʔaq̓am community asked for input on sports facility
A multi-use sports facility is being considered for the ʔaq̓am community.
An online survey has been established to help ?aq̓am Administration in its decision making.
“A multi-use facility could facilitate opportunities for healthy recreation activities including sports and athletics, cultural activities, fitness, and arts and crafts. Additionally, a facility could contribute economically to the region, by attracting users from outside the regional community to participate in sports tournaments, attend entertainment or cultural events etc.,” the survey information states.
Before moving forward with the project, ?aq̓am Administration wants to hear from community membership.
“Your input will help to guide the feasibility study. Please take the time to complete the survey – it should take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and there is an opportunity at the end to note any specific benefits/concerns related to the study,” the survey notes.
