Seventh annual Salmon Festival Saturday
The seventh annual Columbia Salmon Festival is this Saturday, Oct. 14, at Invermere’s James Chabot Provincial Park and the Shuswap Indian Band Pavilion.
Things get rolling at the beach at 10 a.m. with the arrival of the canoe brigade and horse ceremony, before moving uphill to the Shuswap Pavilion for the grand entry and first round of the PowWow at noon.
A salmon feast is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m., along with a second round of PowWow at 5:30 p.m.
