Bike rodeo and family bike ride on Saturday
Kimberley RCMP, in conjunction with the Mark Creek Lions Club and First Saturday Committee, are holding a bike rodeo, Saturday, June 7 as part of Marysville Daze.

The rodeo will take place from 9-11 a.m. in the Marysville Fire Hall parking lot. Although the event is primarily for riders four to 10-years-old, everybody is welcome.
Police will be checking and assisting with helmet fit, there will be a bike safety check and then the riders will test their skills as they move through a series of stations. A simulated intersection will reinforce rules of the road including lane positioning and hand signals.
Participants will receive a goody bag and bike safety information from ICBC will be available. Kootenay Mountain Works is offering a 15% discount on helmet purchases for young riders upon completion.
You are also invited to take part a family bike ride that leaves the Civic Centre (arena) at 8:30 a.m. that will travel to Marysville via the Northstar Rails-to-Trails. Once there you can enjoy a pancake breakfast before partaking in the Marysville Daze attractions and events being held throughout the weekend.
