Local wakeboarders Ryder and Dagen Duczek (ages 10 and eight) put in another medal-winning performance over the weekend as the Water Ski and Wakeboard Alberta Wake Tour stopped at Jackfish Lake near Edmonton.

Both boys were part of the Grom (U14) division, with Ryder taking home second place and Dagen third place.

The event featured over 40 riders in two disciplines: wakeboarding and waterskiing.

It was held in conjunction with the Jackfish Lake Community Association Jackfish Days Festival, which also included a beach volleyball tournament and the “legendary” cardboard boat race. Ryder, Dagen and their cousin Madison Reynolds entered a boat in the race and after powering their way through the long course, crossed the finish line in second place out of the more than 13 boats entered.

The Duczek brothers are proud to be sponsored by Just Liquid Sports, Hyperlite and Boston Pizza Cranbrook/Golden.

They will be back in action this weekend near Calgary as the WSWA Wake Tour stops at the Chestermere Water Festival.
