Sports coordinators needed for Zone 7

Hello all you active 55+ seniors in the East Kootenay (Zone 7).

The mandate of the Zone 7 executive is to encourage and facilitate those seniors 55+, who reside within the boundaries of the East Kootenay, to participate in activities that lends to a healthy life style. Also, for those who are somewhat more competitive, to facilitate their participation in the annual 55+ BC games (2016 Coquitlam, 2017 Vernon and 2018 Kimberley/Cranbrook).

Sport/Activities include: archery, badminton, bridge duplicate & social, carpet bowling, cribbage, cycling, darts, dragon boats, five pin bowling, floor curling, golf, ice curling, ice hockey, lawn bowling, pickleball, slo-pitch, soccer, swimming, table tennis, track & field and Whist.

Arrangements are now under way in organizing participants to attend the 2016 Coquitlam Games with inviting participants and arranging play downs etc.

The executive is currently seeking volunteers to assist in these sports to act as sport coordinators.
