BC Hydro helps Chamber of Commerce

BC Hydro is contributing $1,000 to Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce to support the Columbia Valley’s Winter in Motion Festival being held throughout January and February 2015.

The community festival is an opportunity for area residents and visitors to celebrate winter and participate in unique activities and events, including the celebration of the Whiteway being awarded the Longest Natural Ice Trail in the world. The Winter in Motion Festival provides volunteering opportunities as well as social and economic benefits with 7,000 attendees expected.

BC Hydro’s Community Investment programs provide support to community-based, non- profit organizations and registered charities that are active in one of our key funding areas: Environment Sustainability, Community Leadership, Youth and Lifestyle, and align with business objectives. For more information about BC Hydro’s programs visit: www.bchydro.com/community.

At the presentation in Invermere were (L to R) Andrea Tubbs, Swansea Communications and Chair of the Tourism Marketing Committee, Wendy Behan, BC Hydro Field Services Administrator and Susan Clovechok, Executive Director, Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce.
