Baker Street traffic to be reduced this weekend

City of Cranbrook Public Works water crews will be continuing work on the Clock Tower Square project today and Saturday, which will affect both vehicle and pedestrian traffic along Baker Street this weekend.

The work will happen on Baker Street between 9th Avenue South and 10th Avenue South, as crews tie in the new water main to the water system in front of the Royal Bank. As a result the sidewalk in front of the Royal Bank will be closed and access to businesses around the Clock Tower Square will be limited. Pedestrians are asked to use the sidewalk on the opposite side of Baker Street.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to please avoid the area if at all possible Friday and Saturday. If you must travel through that area, please follow and respect all signage and the direction of flaggers on scene. You can expect delays.

The City of Cranbrook apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates the patience of both the businesses affected and the public.
