United Way Appreciation Breakfast celebrates supporters

Forty people attended the annual United Way Appreciation Breakfast on March 20 at the Heritage Inn.

A buffet breakfast and program celebrating donors, Workplace Campaign supporters and the many agencies providing programs and services was enjoyed by all.  City of Cranbrook Mayor Wayne Stetski recognized the value of the good works for the community and thanked everyone for their dedication and efforts.

Joan Draper spoke on her experiences as a volunteer in the community, as a United Way Director and her insights gained as an employee at the TD Bank, involved every year in the United Way Workplace Campaign.

Lori and Debbie from the Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club showed an inspiring video of the positive impacts on a young man’s life while attending the club and recognized the tremendous contributions of Gord Johnston who will be retiring from his Executive Director position soon.

Bev, Board Chair and Donna, ED, spoke throughout the program welcoming and thanking everyone involved in realizing all of the successes in 2013.
