Here’s what’s happening at the Fernie Heritage Library in June.

We are excited about all the events happening at the library this month. Listed here are some special events and all other regular programs happening in June.

Fernie Heritage Library Book BikeJune 1 – 3:30-5 p.m.  Superhero Pep Rally **FOR KIDS**

Superhero games. Superhero snacks, Superhero FUN! BYO Spidey senses

Come dressed up as your favourite superhero and join in the fun. Drop-in event for kids ages 7+.  If it is your child’s first time to attend a library program, please ensure that you introduce yourself to Ms Anie in order to get your waiver form and library card before attending.

June 2 at 7 p.m.  Book Launch: “Mountain Girl”

Join local author Shelby Cain as she reads and discusses excerpts from her debut suspense-thriller.

June 3 at 1-2:30 p.m. Fun Friday **FOR KIDS**

Join Sarah and Jayden (our new summer students) for some Pro-D Friday fun. Come dressed up as your favourite superhero and join in the fun. Drop-in event for kids ages 7+.  If it is your child’s first time to attend a library program, please ensure that you introduce yourself to Ms Anie in order to get your waiver form and library card before attending.

June 8 at 4-5:30 p.m.  Lemonade Social **FOR ALL-AGES**

We are celebrating the end of our afterschool programming for the school year. Join us for some lemonade games, activities, hot dogs and of course the Lemonade Stand-Off! Need for info or would like to enter a lemonade stand- please email [email protected]  or see handout attached. This event is for all ages: children under 7 must be accompanied by a caregiver or parent.

June 25 at 6 p.m. A Summer Affair: Black Tie Gala

On Saturday June 25, the Friends of the Fernie Heritage Library presents A Summer Affair. This magical evening will celebrate the Fernie Heritage Library’s passionate relationship with the history and culture of Fernie. A Summer Affair begins in our beautiful grounds with a guests mingling amongst the riches of a garden in full bloom.  Invited to enjoy a night of celebration in our newly restored Library, our guests will enjoy a formal dinner, champagne cocktails, music, wine, and the opportunity to bid on a fine selection of unique and exquisite auction items. Tickets on sale now at the Fernie Heritage Library.
