Multi-Cultural Festival returns
Cranbrook’s multi-cultural diversity is being celebrated once again this weekend.
Cultural booths, ethnic foods and live entertainment will highlight the Cranbrook Multi-Cultural Festival Saturday, August 20 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Cranbrook’s Rotary Park.
However, the ever-more popular festival is branching out to include a Friday evening (tonight!) component.
A cultural art event is being presented by Omnita Cultural Arts and Media from Vancouver.
A Traditional Indonesian Textile Exhibition and Batik making activity is taking place at Connect Church Building, 201-14th Ave North, from 5 to 9 p.m. The presentation is at 7, Bakitting at 8 p.m. Refreshment and drinks will be provided.
