KAR planning for busy Christmas

Kimberley Alpine Resort (KAR) opened for the 2016/17 season on Dec. 10.

2016-kar-holiday-events-schedule-1-1Thanks to plenty of recent snow, conditions are improving every day as more runs come on line, said Megan Field of Kimberley Alpine Resort.

“Conditions on the Main have been improving every day with this week’s excellent snowmaking conditions, and now we are pleased to be able to offer the Easter Chair and the beginner’s Magic Carpet starting this Saturday, December 17,” she said.

Runs will be added in the Black Forest, Vimy Ridge, and Tamarack Ridge Areas. This will include Upper Anton’s, Dean Left, Dean Right, Flapper, Purl, All Over, Upper Caper, Vimy Ridge, Lower Caper to the Easter Chair, Twilight to Rung, Eureka, and Midget accessed by Twilight.  Exit ways out of the backside will include Vimy Ridge to Hoot’s Way and Ridgeway, Field noted.

Along with on-hill fun, KAR has a busy Christmas season schedule for visitors.

This weekend, musician George Plant will be playing live in the Stemwinder this Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18, from 3-6 p.m.
