Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Jan. 23 to 6 a.m., Jan. 30.
Police handled 131 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Two impaired driving roadblocks/checkstops conducted.
Four motor vehicle collisions: all minor in nature.
Two assaults: both minor.
Eight thefts: Six shoplifting/one theft from vehicle/one theft under $5,000.
Two property damage/mischief.
16 false alarms/false 911.
Three intoxicated in public place.
Four causing a disturbance/Bbreach of peace.
Eight harassing communications.
Eight suspicious vehicle/persons/occurrences.
11 Unspecified assistance/animal calls/abandoned vehicles/other traffic.
One Fraud.
Four drugs – One significant drug file.
Overall, a very pro-active policing week with Impaired Driving Checkstops being conducted, school zone traffic enforcement and the significant drug investigation completed as noted above. Significant reduction in both break and enters and Mental Health Act related occurrences.
