Program success means iRide is returning
The iRide Cycling school program is gearing up for another busy and fun spring.
The success of the pilot project in 2016 has created great enthusiasm and demand for the program. We are thrilled to announce that all nine Cranbrook schools plus Jaffray Elementary Junior Secondary School will be offering the program to their Grade 4 students (4, 3/4, 4/5 classes) this spring.
Plans also include introducing the program to Kimberley elementary schools.
To boost the number of certified instructors to help deliver the program an NCCP Community Initiation Coach Certification Course is being held on April 28 and 29 at Gordon Terrace School in Cranbrook.
The lead instructor is Richard Wooles. Richard has an extensive background in international cycling as a competitive cyclist (Great Britain), Coach (Great Britain & Canada) and CBC TV analyst for the Rio Olympics.
