Investigators will be on scene of an overnight fire in the city’s industrial park this morning.

Around 12:37 a.m. Monday, May 8, a call for service was received by Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services (CFES) to a property located at 221 Slater Road. All city fire trucks and 16 firefighters arrived at the scene to find smoke showing from all four sides of the building. Quick action of firefighters limited the spread of the fire to adjacent buildings.

There were no injuries reported.

Members remain on scene this morning watching for hot spots and keeping the site secure until investigators arrive this morning.
