Village working on water problem
Some Village of Canal Flats residents found themselves without water last night, Sunday, July 9.
The village reported today via Facebook the water loss was caused by an electrical issue at its water compound, but asks residents to restrict water use while work continues.
“The water is up and running again; however it is not at capacity. We are asking that water users restrict their use of water for the time being,” the village stated on Facebook.
“No watering of lawns or gardens is permitted. Public works will be turning off sprinklers being used. The issue should be resolved this afternoon. Please watch Facebook for any updates or call the village office at 250-349-5462.”
The village apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their cooperation.
