A Cranbrook veterinary clinic yesterday posted a warning on Facebook about possible poisonings of dogs in the Community Forest.

Steeples Veterinary Clinic noted it has handled “multiple cases of sudden illness resulting in death of dogs who were recently” in the Community Forest area.

“We are currently investigating but are unsure of the exact cause as of right now. Please exercise caution when in the area or avoid it all together for the time being. Symptoms include sudden collapse and seizures around four to six hours after visit of the area. We will update you when we have more information,” Steeples Veterinary Clinic stated Dec. 11, igniting a lively online discussion.
