1867 Gala Evening celebrates 150 years of Canada
The Cranbrook History Centre is pleased to present a remarkable experience to enjoy an evening out in style.
They will be hosting a one-of-a-kind 1867 Gala Supper celebrating 150 years of Canada. It will take place on Saturday, March 10 in the museum’s beautiful and historic Royal Alexandra Hall. The evening will feature a seven course plated meal catered by The Heidout Restaurant and Brewhouse, period actors, a pianist, and vocal performances. Tickets are $100/person with a $25 tax deductible receipt available.
This memorable and remarkable event is made possible by grant funding that has allowed the History Centre as well as people from across the country to fund Canada 150 related projects.
This project creates the opportunity for the community to come together to explore the history of our past through the eyes of the period actors, the exquisite taste of the food from across Canada in 1867 in today’s time, and to explore the decor of our history past.
The evening will be filled with fun, fellowship, and memories of how our nation was born.
We invite guests to join us in the elegance of the evening to come in period costumes, suits, and gowns allowing the full experience of the history we will explore. By no means is this dress a requirement, but an opportunity for our guests to immerse themselves in the times of our country as it came to be.
Tickets are available at the Cranbrook History Centre or over the phone at 250-489-3918 until March 1 at 5 p.m. For more information you can call the History Centre or email [email protected].
This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the Cranbrook & District Community Foundation, Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
