Cranbrook Pro Rodeo returns to Wycliffe next weekend
Are you ready for some good old fashioned cowboy action?
The Canadian Professional Rodeo Association returns Friday, August 19 to Sunday, August 21 with the 25th annual Cranbrook Pro Rodeo.
As usual, the outdoor rodeo is being held at the Wycliffe Exhibition Grounds, at 5325 Wycliffe Park Road, about 15 km north of Cranbrook.
Fun begins on Friday, which is designated as Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day, with some of North America’s top cowboys and cowgirls taking part in thrilling action, including rough stock, timed cattle events, steer riding, saddle bronc and bareback events.
In addition trick riders Cassie Horner and Shelby Cummings will be showing their acrobatic skills. And new this year is Boys’ Steer Riding.
Once again, a Barbecue Dinner and Dance is scheduled for Saturday, Aug 20. And Sunday is Children’s Day.
Concessions and a beer garden will be available over the weekend, too.
