High Streamflow Advisory terminated
The BC River Forecast Centre yesterday ended the ‘High Streamflow Advisory’ for the East Kootenay.
Citing a decrease in snowmelt runoff and river levels declining and cooler conditions expected this week, river levels are expected to continue receding, the BC River Forecast Centre stated.
City of Fernie crews will continue to monitor river and creek levels and we will update residents if conditions change, the city noted yesterday.
Please be reminded to be cautious around river banks as fast-moving water is still present.
