Family Fun Zone launched
The Kootenay ICE, in collaboration with Jason Wheeldon Personal Real Estate Corp. of Royal LePage East Kootenay Realty, is excited to launch the Family Fun Zone presented by Jason Wheeldon, a program that aims to make ICE games accessible for all families.
Jason Wheeldon Personal Real Estate Corp. has graciously donated 272 tickets for families to attend ICE home games this season. Eight tickets per home game will be distributed into the community through this program. In addition, each child who is selected to attend a game in the Family Fun Zone will receive an autographed puck and a visit from an ICE player following the game (one player will visit the group).
To qualify to receive tickets through this program, one must simply apply through the a link on the Kootenay ICE website, under the community tab and click the Family Fun Zone to find the application.
“I am happy to partner with the ICE to create the Family Fun Zone where families can experience great hockey through the use of donated tickets,” explained Jason Wheeldon. “Our family sees value in providing the community with opportunities to attend an ICE game and look forward to us all enjoying the season ahead.”

The Invermere Pre-season Classic presented by Kootenay Insurance Services and Kootenay Savings Credit Union is taking place on Friday, September 14 at 7 p.m. at Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena. Tickets can be purchased at Western Financial Place; Inside Edge Boutique + Sports; Konig Meat & Sausage Company; Lambert Kipp Pharmacy and online.
