United Way has a busy schedule ahead

The children at P.L.A.Y invite you to support our community! By bringing your vehicle down to the Rec Plex August 17 you will be supporting United Way! Vehicle wash by donation. Be sure to join us for a time of togetherness and all out fun!

Capture Your Community Photo Contest

July 6 to September 15. Take the pictures you want and win!

This summer participants of all ages and skill levels (and any camera) are welcome to take the pictures they want and enter them in our contest for great prizes! Entrants are also eligible for immediate discounts for some of your favorite activities – such as water sports, paintball, and fitness!! So whether it is action, portrait, or landscape we want to see from you.  Make sure that with the picture you define community to you; it doesn’t have to be long. Our Park-On-Us campaign has hit a decade!

This September is bound to be beautiful, so kick-off the last weekend of summer by enjoying beautiful downtown Cranbrook. Enjoy a day of free parking courtesy of the City of Cranbrook, local businesses, and the many other sponsors who partner with your local United Way. If you are an early risers, swing by the United Way office located on Baker Street for coffee and cookies (by donation) to enjoy as you stroll through downtown and enjoy the many businesses who cater to all interests. If you are hanging around for the afternoon, just waking up, or are just looking for an afternoon jaunt swing by the clock tower for a BBQ at 11.

Denham Ford Test Drive

September 15th at Tamarack Mall Parking Lot, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Drive One 4 UR Community program was developed as a fun, engaging way to help various vital community agencies raise money to support the needs of local residents. Denham Ford is partnering with United Way Cranbrook and Kimberley, to conduct a test-drive fundraising event. For every valid test-drive completed (one per household), Ford Motor Company will donate $20 – up to $6,000!  Test drive a Ford and help your community! So bring the family to the Tamarack Mall and let your family enjoy a burger while you test drive a Ford.

United Way Friendship Festival

September 22nd at Cranbrook Rotary Park, from noon to 6ish.

Entry is free!

United Way of Cranbrook and Kimberley, agencies and businesses invite community to help celebrate our community and achievements! A day of varied stage entertainment, food, and activities planned for all ages, including: Battle of the bands, Farmer’s Market food vendors, arts and crafts, games and contests, Nascar bike circuit with decorating/a safety course and a parade, scavenger hunt, displays and much more. More details will be released closer to the date.
