ATWOOD,  Alvin Fay

1931 – 2021

On Tuesday,  March 23, 2021, Alvin Fay Atwood passed away at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook at the age of 89 years.  Alvin was born on June 11, 1931 to Nephi and Jenny Atwood in Cardston, Alberta.

Alvin married his beloved wife, Bea on October 27, 1956 and was blessed with three sons. Gerry, Dale and Allan.  Alvin was a truck driver and a school bus driver during his working years.

Alvin leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Bea and his sons Gerry (Raelene) Atwood, Dale (Vicki) Atwood and Allan (Cindy) Atwood.  He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as three sisters, Lela, Wanda and Debbie.  Alvin was predeceased by his parents, Nephi and Jenny; his siblings Ray, Elmer, Eldon, Naomi and Loretta and one granddaughter, Alicia.

A gathering of family will be held for Alvin at a later date.  In memory of Alvin, the family has requested that memorial donations be made in his honor to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, 1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC  V1Y 9M9.
