Cranbrook RCMP reported on social media this afternoon that officers are responding to a shots fired complaint on a forest service road off New Lake Road.

Police ask the public to please avoid travel in the area.

RCMP reported late afternoon: Cranbrook RCMP have cleared the area of concern. We thank residents for their patience and advise New Lake Road is now open to traffic. Anyone with knowledge of firearms activity in the area is asked to contact Cranbrook RCMP.
