Raymond “Spider” TENNANT

Raymond Neil Tennant, a.k.a. “Spider”, passed away suddenly on December 25, 2021 in Sparwood, BC at the age of 66. He was born on October 12, 1955 in Fernie, BC.

Spider, as he was so affectionately known, was predeceased by his father Hugh Tennant Sr. (2003) and his older brother Leslie Tennant (2001). Spider leaves behind his loving mother Evelyn, three siblings: William (Marilyn), Patricia (Sam), and Lorna (Terry), and three loving children: Hugh Jr., Cory, and Carla, and his precious grandson, Jesse Ray Tennant. Spider also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family members and wonderful friends who he cherished and loved very much.

Spider was well known amongst the community of Sparwood and the stories he shared will live on forever in our memories. He had a great love for the outdoors, fishing in particular, his family and all animals (especially dogs). His greatest passion was spending time with his grandson Jesse.

Raymond’s family will hold a Celebration of Life at Cherished Memories “Serenity Chapel” in Fernie on Thursday, December 30th.
