The Village of Canal Flats is in the process of establishing Development Cost Charges (DCCs).

DCCs are charges paid by owners at subdivision for the creation of new residential lots, and at building permit for construction of multi-family, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.

DCCs are also fees levied on new development to help pay for infrastructure needed to service new growth and development.

We would like to invite you to attend a stakeholder session on the DCC update at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9. This session is designed for potential land developers and builders in the community.

At the session we will provide a presentation on the following topics:

• the DCC capital projects required to service new growth;
• the projected growth;
• the proposed DCC rates for roads, water, storm drainage, and parks.

After the presentation we will answer questions and provide opportunities for participants to provide input either directly at the meeting or through written comments if they wish.
