Changing Colours at The Station
Up next in The Arts Station Gallery: Changing Colours
Local watercolour painters Pamm Ciupa and Anne Aitken-Anderson are pleased to present the next Arts Station Gallery exhibit, Changing Colours.
Changing Colours, resonates in the paint colour, the changing seasons and the changes in attitudes brought about by a friendship of kindred spirits. As summer has now changed to autumn we are surrounded by the brilliant reds, yellow and oranges of the season; colours and images that are beautifully illustrated by the exquisite brushstrokes and lush colours that inhabit this classic and endearing medium.
For the past year and a half Pamm Ciupa and Anne Aiken-Anderson have been creating inside at SnowFlake Studio as well as spending a great deal of time taking their paints, easels, and brushes into nature and painting outside. They have used their knowledge of watercolor and experience with the South Country Watercolour workshops to further their representation of nature through the use of color and brushwork in their paintings.
Ciupa and Aiken-Anderson have partnered with members of the pottery guild to create a dynamic and multi-media show. The talented potters at The Arts Station have been working in their studio to create a variety of beautiful and functional pieces. From hand built to wheel thrown there will be something to intrigue everyone.
Please join us at the Opening Reception on October 25 from 7 p.m.-9 p.m., there will be drinks, appetizers, good conversation and great art!
The show runs through to Tuesday, Nov. 27.
