Project Heavy Duty for MBSS students May 2-4

We are proud to announce we are offering Project Heavy Duty once again this spring.

We are calling it a post Covid soft start to the program to be gentle on our local industry sponsors as everyone is busy getting operations going again this year.

Project Heavy Duty is a partnership with the City of Cranbrook, Workers’ Compensation Board, College of the Rockies, School District No. 5 and many local industry sponsors.

We will be hosting 20 Mount Baker Secondary School (MBSS) students from grades 10-12. They will be doing occupational first aid level 1, receiving classroom worksite safety training and then operating machines in a nearby gravel pit for two days.

This is happening May 2-4.

Very nice to see our community supporting our students once again this spring.
