The following is a synopsis of what occurred during the Oct. 18 District of Sparwood council meeting.
BUSINESS
Socio-Community and Economic Effects Advisory Committee (SCEEAC) Appointments
The SCEEAC committee made recommendations to council for committee members. Duane Allen, Harold (Hungry) Baytaluke, Calvin Domin and Joe Jarina have all been re-appointed to the committee as community members. The SCEEAC is still accepting applications for volunteers.
Gifts, Awards, and Promotional Items Policy
Changes to the employee service awards due to availability and cost of the gold lapel pins awarded to staff, as well as administrative updates to the policy to comply with the code of conduct and administrative costs were approved.
