BCWF lottery funds habitat restoration and innovation

Each ticket in the B.C. Wildlife Federation’s Spring Conservation Lottery & Fishty Fifty supports wildlife and the environment.

Imagine your outdoor adventures aboard a new 16 foot Gelex G5 boat, riding a Quietkat electric bike, or relaxing in style with our premium camping prize package. And make sure you get a ticket to win up to $500,000 tax free in the Fishty Fifty draw!

“The BCWF is committed to initiatives that directly benefit fish, wildlife, and habitat,” said Executive Director Jesse Zeman. “The Conservation Lottery is one way that British Columbians can support those good works and take a chance at winning an amazing prize from one of our sponsors.”

When it comes to wildlife and habitat, the B.C. Wildlife Federation is committed to dozens of boots on the ground projects that enhance, protect, and restore habitat, benefit wildlife, and serve B.C.’s communities.

Our 10,000 Wetlands initiative is one multi-year effort to create thousands of wetland ecosystems in British Columbia using an innovative approach: beaver dams.

“We use beaver-based restoration to keep water on the landscape to create habitat and mitigate wildfire and flood risk,” said Jennifer Rogers, beaver restoration assessment lead. “With First Nations and conservation partners, we will build more than 100 Beaver Dam Analogues that support native plant and animal species, contribute to fire and flood resiliency, and promote healthy watersheds across the province.”

Tickets are $10 each, 3 for $20, 10 for $50, or 30 for $100. Get your tickets now to be automatically entered into the early bird draw. To buy tickets go to bcwflottery.com.

The BCWF is a leader in habitat restoration, outdoor education, and advocacy for better wildlife management policies at the provincial and federal level. We support B.C.’s outdoors community and their ability to camp, hike, fish, hunt, and access wild spaces.
