Ivin Michael Duchscherer
Ivin was born on September 4, 1949, in Prelate, Saskatchewan. He played a significant role in the coal mining industry, working for the Elk Valley Coal Mine where he was as a heavy-duty equipment operator for 45 years. Ivin devoted himself to raising his beloved daughters, Dawn and April, in Sparwood B.C. After his daughters graduated from high school, he moved to Cranbrook, where he lived until his passing. Although Ivin didn’t have many material possessions, his life was centered around his deep love for his daughters.
Ivin is Survived by his Daughters, Dawn (Luke) Scott and April (Steve) Sandberg. Grandchildren: Dakota, Luke Scott, Mitchel, and Carter Sandberg. Sisters: Josie Ellis, Shirley (Len) Howarth. Brothers: Norman (Brenda) Duchscherer, Stanley (Nan) Duchscherer, Brian (Debbie) Duchscherer, Dale (Arlene) Duchscherer & Many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews.
Ivin is Predeceased Alexander and Katherine Duchscherer. Brother: Earl and Sister: Vicki. Brother-in-Law: Gordon Ellis.
A Celebration of Life for Ivin will take place Saturday December 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagles Hall in Cranbrook.
