Columbia Valley Search and Rescue (CVSAR) continues to be busy with two more calls this past weekend.

That’s nine calls in nine days!

The first call was for a mountain biker who got into some difficulty on a local mountain trail and called for assistance.

CVSAR responded and assisted the biker with the help of Glacier Helicopters Invermere.

The second call was for an SOS activation for an overdue hiker when they failed to show up at the trailhead by evening.

A team responded overnight and was joined by more rescuers and a RCMP search dog at daybreak.

The subject was located in the early morning hours in good health.
