Watermain break on Staple Crescent impacting water service
A significant watermain break on Staple Crescent late evening on Thursday, November 13, is impacting water service to customers nearby overnight and again this morning.
Public Works will be working to fix this break and restore water service as soon as possible, but work is expected to take most of the day today (November 14).
Public Works needed to throttle down the water pressure last night to minimize any property damage, which is also causing many residents to have low pressure or no water service at all.
This issue is not affiliated with the upcoming screen cleaning at the Phillips Reservoir scheduled to start on Monday, November 17, at 8 p.m.
Both Kootenay Orchards Elementary School and the Gold Creek campus of the College of the Rockies are currently without water.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and we are working to get this repair made and service restored as soon as we can.
