COTR Museia to explore organizational change
Organizational change is often necessary, but rarely easy.
At the latest Museia Lecture Series presentation, College of the Rockies Bachelor of Business Administration – Sustainable Business Practices instructor and Chartered Professional Accountant Kevin Boehmer will explore practical approaches to implementing meaningful and lasting change within organizations.
Change Management and Implementing Lasting Organizational Change will take place on Thursday, March 19 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the college’s main Lecture Theatre (Room KC 250).
The presentation is open to students, community members, and anyone interested in leadership, organizational culture, or navigating change in the workplace. A question period will follow Boehmer’s presentation.
“There are many change management processes that have proven to be effective, yet they still aren’t universally accepted,” Boehmer said. “In this presentation, I will explore the history of change management and share real-life examples of successes and failures with a focus on helping organizations create sustainable, positive change.”
Boehmer owned and operated his own accounting firm before transitioning to full time teaching at the college. He is currently completing a Master of Business Administration with a major in change management.
