Obituary of Gage Duthie

Gage Duthie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gage Duthie, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at his bedside on February 26, 2026, at the young age of 28.

Gage was born on September 30, 1997, in Penticton, British Columbia. He had a kind and gentle spirit and always brought happiness and laughter to those around him. His warmth, compassion, and genuine care for others touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

Gage approached life head-on, fearlessly, and always ready for the next adventure. He loved music, dirt biking, tinkering with his vehicles, and enjoyed his shoes and stylish clothing, always taking pride in his appearance. His laughter, contagious smile, and sense of humour could brighten even the hardest days. He had the biggest heart and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, never hesitating to help even a complete stranger. Even in his final days, his caring nature continued through organ donation, helping four others and giving the gift of life.

Gage leaves behind his great love for Gracie Lundgren and their son Greyson, his sister Anneliese Duthie, his mother and father Sandy and Dacan Duthie, as well as all his extended family and friends who will carry his memory with them always. He will also be dearly missed by his beloved pets and furry companions, who meant the world to him.

Gage was predeceased by Sharon Duthie, his Nana and Bryan Freeland, his grandfather, who meant so much to him and whom he carried in his heart. He is greatly loved and missed by everyone and will be forever in our hearts and memories.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Calgary on Saturday April 4th, 2026 from 1-4 pm at Partner Pub & Grill 7740 18th St SE and in Cranbrook on Saturday April 11th, 2026 from 2-5pm at Smitty’s 1417 Cranbrook St N, where family and friends are invited to come together to honour and remember Gage.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, his family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to the SPCA or Humane Society in his memory.
