Battle of the Bravest returns April 11
The second annual Battle of the Bravest charity hockey game will be at the Sparwood Recreation Centre April 11 (Puck drop at 6 p.m.).
This year Sparwood Fire Department will be playing a mixed team of local responders from neighbouring fire departments, BC Ambulance, and Elk Valley RCMP.
All of these people are coming together, backed up by great sponsors and donors, to raise funds for Angel Flight East Kootenay and the Elk Valley Suicide Task Force.
It may not be good hockey, but it’s for a great cause!

The 2026 Battle of the Bravest Charity Hockey Game online 50/50 is now live! Last year’s winner took home $10,000!
All funds raised support Angel Flight East Kootenay and the Elk Valley Suicide Task Force.
The draw will take place at 8 p.m. on April 11, so time is limited to get your tickets.
