Anvil taking the stage in Cranbrook June 30

Canadian heavy metal veterans Anvil will take the stage at Cranbrook’s Key City Theatre on June 30.

Formed in 1978, they helped shape the sound of heavy metal alongside bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth … a legacy that still resonates today.

With over 20 albums and decades of touring behind them, Anvil delivers the kind of classic, guitar-driven sound that defined an era.

Their story, told in the acclaimed documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil, is a testament to staying power and true love of the music.

Expect big riffs, loud amps, and a night that feels like the golden age of rock and metal from guitarist-vocalist Steven “Lips” Kudlow, drummer Robb Reiner and bassist Chris Robertson.

New Jersey’s old school metal warriors Midnite Hellion are also on the bill along with local instrumental prog-metal wizards Phaeton featuring guitarist Daniel Airth, guitarist-keyboardist Kevin Thiessen, drummer Colin Righton and Ferdy Belland on bass.
