Nitro’s Kisilevich named KIJHL’s Rookie of the Week
Adam Kisilevich provided the Kimberley Dynamiters with excellent goaltending to start the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) Championship Final to earn the Rookie of the Week for the period ending April 19.
In the opening two games Kisilevich saved 54 of 56 shots for a 1.00 goals against average with a .964 save percentage in a pair of wins against the Princeton Posse.
“I played well, but have some little details to clean up,” said Kisilevich. “Overall, I was glad it was enough to give us a 2-0 start. I liked the way I competed on every puck, and having a short memory especially with the early goals in the first two games. It was enough to start us off 2-0.”
In 15 playoff games Kisilevich has 13 wins with a loss and one overtime loss. He has a 1.38 GAA and a .949 SP.
